I'm certainly not trying to offend anyone, still translation is a time-consuming job. But translations of shaders must die. Such definitions are very difficult to understand in Russian, especially when it comes to abbreviations of software techniques (e.g. SSAO, RTGI). Such concepts are usually just not translated and used in the original. |
before i talk i wanna apologize for neglecting PR's... I have been really bad about that. I understand your pain. Even in the original language (English), there is not a good alternative for writing things like acronyms of shader effects, while still allowing the average person understand what it is. having multiple words on a single button is not something i really want either, as the word will not always be able to fit on the button display. the best thing i can think of is to format it in such a way that gives the most context: For the other topic, i have no way to do quality control on translations, because i do not know the languages. I can only trust that the translator is doing it well, and hope that other people who know that language will tune in to find any problems, like you are doing. |

Where did you find the word “of” in “ResourcePack Sky” and why did you decide to make it separate?
I usually make the translation accaurate and double-check the original with the translation.
It's even labeled original up there and you still decided to make such a translation.

Deleting the FloodFill translation is weird.
You could have deleted the whole thing then.
But you probably don't know the correct translation of FloodFill.
I don't think it's that important because they translate the same in English (REQUIRED IRIS).

Noun + Adjective is better than Adjective + Noun unless it's English (I won't remove the parenthesis).
I thought for a long time here because I thought your correction was good but then I remembered the rules of the Russian language and it didn't appeal to me.

This seems like a poor quality automatic translate. Abbreviations shouldn't be translated, many strings are just illogical at all. I'm not sure if the author is familiar with a russian language, no offence. |
@null511 Note that he is also translating your Shrimple shader. And after 5 minutes of reviewing the localization file, I can say it's the same as here - terrible translation with a bunch of illogical decisions (like translating abbreviations) and simple 1st grade errors. |

I hope there will be less of these mistakes! In Update 1.1.3 there will be fixes with translation on descriptions! And then, the brilliant pivot to "Кривость Излучения" - truly, a masterclass in making things worse. Next time, how about aiming for "Кривая Излучения"? Or better yet, maybe leave the translations to someone who doesn't think "emissive" is a personality trait. |
You're funny. And have you even read the last few posts? And I yesterday (24/07/29) re-checked the translation and yes found errors and corrected them even in some places there were no brackets now re-check the translation of the descriptions and so I do not need your opinion about my translation and I will continue to re-check the translation of the descriptions.
The reason I called it “Кривость” is because it is a Emission Action and this option is designed to change the curve as with the others and I actually originally wanted to call it “Кривое Излучение”. You can help me but I decide which translation I think is good. |

That's the thing, old translation was done better, even though it's outdated. You could just add missing lines, correct mistakes (although in comparison with your creation - there are no such). But no, you decided to create a bicycle, without pedals. At this point, this “ controversy” can be labeled as exhaustive. I'm not against you personally doing this, I'm against such poorly executed translations being merged into the main repository, because the developer doesn't understand Russian anyway and he won't check the translation for quality, so you need other people who are native speakers and they can give their opinion. |

This is an update from another Russian translator. This new Russian translation makes a more normal translation that allows people to read the name of options and their description in CREDITS much more pleasantly I left the past Russian translator (I recommend that you look at the changes to make your decisions later).
